WMS community came together yesterday at the game against Bethel to support one of our own. This year that was Major Hooper, the son of teacher, Casey Hooper. He has battled cancer, Wilm’s Syndrome, with numerous surgeries and chemo treatments since he was 17 months old. The volleyball team worked together to start fundraising through t-shirt sales and outreach. Also, the cheer team supported through having a bake sale and 50/50 raffle at the game. Furthermore, Evergreen Packaging, sent a family friend to provide assistance as well. Overall, the funds raised reached $2,500.00. Since starting this game fundraiser, each cancer patient is now a cancer survivor, and we hope for the same for Major Hooper in the near future!
