It has been a privilege of the teachers at WMS to nominate Andrew Worley as Special Olympian of the year. Andrew is in the 7th grade and what a wonderful young man he is. Anyone who interacts with Andrew is sure to have a smile on their face. He is a student and athlete who exemplifies true skill, courage and joy no matter what he does.  He is a hard-working, caring, loving student who also displays strong leadership skills in and out of the classroom. Andrew is a team player who makes sure to include others around him no matter their ability. This year Andrew has competed in Unified basketball, soccer, kickball and will soon be competing in unified flag-football at Waynesville Middle. Andrew has grown so much since he first started Waynesville Middle School. He has grown in his social skills, academics and functional skills. He has matured and shown us that he deserves to be Haywood County’s Middle school Special Olympian of the year!
